Every person needs the encouragement that comes from gathering with other believers. This takes place in our weekly meeting, and our home group studies (Hebrews 10:25).
God loves us just the way we are, but he doesn't want us to continue in old habits. As we become better followers of Christ, we become more like him and better people (John 8:10-11).
God's example of giving is love in action. He loves us, so he gave his son. Giving is our active response to all God has done for us, and our act of love to him (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8).
The last commandment of Jesus was that we go and make more disciples. We do this by serving locally and globally to bring about God's Kingdom in tangible ways (Matthew 28:19-20).
